Job Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences at Canadian Tire #412. As the link between our technicians and customers, this role requires strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring ongoing commitment to customer needs and satisfaction.
  2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, addressing their concerns and providing solutions.
  3. Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, offering tailored solutions and recommendations.
  4. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment, sharing ideas to enhance the customer experience.
  5. Manage customer concerns and issues efficiently, ensuring timely resolutions.
  6. Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  7. Review and complete repair orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  8. Estimate costs and times for services, ensuring transparency and meeting customer expectations.
  9. Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, managing work orders and schedules.
  10. Operate computerized work order systems, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  11. Engage in ongoing learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Service Centre, identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  13. Comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and store procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.
  2. Understanding of mechanical components and systems.
  3. Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
  4. Basic math and keyboarding skills.
  5. Good working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
  6. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre, is considered an asset.
  7. Valid driver's license for the province of employment.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

In compliance with Canadian Tire #412's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures:

  1. Standing and walking for extended periods.
  2. Lifting and carrying merchandise items, as required, on a regular basis.
  3. Lifting above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist.
  4. Going up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise.
  5. Walking and carrying items simultaneously, pushing or pulling as needed.
  6. Twisting, turning, reaching, and working above shoulder level.
