Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Accounting to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. As a Professor of Accounting, you will be responsible for teaching accounting courses to undergraduate students and contributing to the development of our accounting program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach accounting courses to undergraduate students, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, and auditing
  • Develop and implement curriculum to ensure students meet the program's learning objectives
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Contribute to the development of our accounting program, including curriculum design and program evaluation
  • Participate in departmental and faculty meetings

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (PhD preferred)
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA)
  • Recent professional experience in accounting, including evidence of recently undertaken professional development in the area of IFRS
  • Experience teaching accounting courses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum design and program evaluation
  • Experience in teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations
