Position Overview

PV Labs is in search of an experienced Manufacturing Systems Engineer who possesses extensive knowledge in Design for Manufacturability within intricate mechatronic systems.

This pivotal role entails the development of manufacturing and assembly methodologies, alongside supporting design transitions, process validation, and change management, all while navigating the complexities inherent in product development within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Systems Engineer will:

  • Collaborate with Engineering Labs to enhance designs for manufacturability and testing.
  • Formulate process flows, establish build and test specifications, and conduct lead time assessments for initial manufacturing processes.
  • Define requirements for testing apparatus, including thermal chambers and vibration tables.
  • Initiate the development of manufacturing and testing criteria for new facilities.
  • Produce manufacturing documentation for both PV Labs and global partner sites.
  • Identify and develop manufacturing tools.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert during ERP implementation.
  • Support prototype assembly and process validation.
  • Train technicians and support engineers.
Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in a control-systems or mechatronics-focused manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing process development and optimization.
  • Experience in regulated environments adhering to quality management systems.
  • A solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
