Join the Team at Aecon
Aecon is on the lookout for a committed Material Management Specialist to enhance our operations. This role is essential in supporting our projects, particularly in the area of Major Component Replacement.
Core Responsibilities:
- Aggregate material requests for diverse supplies and services
- Draft and submit procurement requests with comprehensive documentation
- Facilitate communication among project teams, engineering, and procurement
- Oversee material shipments and assist in expediting processes as needed
- Receive, evaluate, and manage inventory of materials
- Work closely with the Procurement Department to recommend suppliers
- Deliver updates on material status
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in the Nuclear Construction sector
- Enrollment in a Materials and Operations Management Program is advantageous
- Familiarity with Nuclear Codes & Standards
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and time management abilities
