ROLE OVERVIEW:
Are you enthusiastic about Brand Education and eager to make a difference in the beauty industry? Join us as a Category & Brand Operations Manager, where your expertise will shape product and category insights across various content formats, educational materials, videos, and digital platforms for Sephora's hair and fragrance categories. We seek a dedicated expert who will cultivate positive partnerships with brands to create training and educational content for our Beauty Advisors (BAs). You will play a crucial role in bringing our initiatives to life in our stores by motivating and inspiring our teams while enhancing our programs and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with brands to develop educational strategies, visit schedules, digital resources, and product samples.
- Assist brands in enhancing BA engagement through in-store training and new store openings based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Work alongside departmental partners to advance category strategies and organizational goals.
- Monitor and improve content effectiveness within training programs in partnership with corporate and field teams.
- Coordinate with support teams on curriculum design, production, and delivery.
- Support brand operation initiatives to establish efficient processes that benefit both stores and brands.
- Communicate learning objectives for Sephora-created content while identifying gaps in training programs.
- Propose and implement innovative educational solutions to meet organizational needs related to the category.
- Enhance Brand Partner Resources to maintain a centralized system for brand information while providing ongoing feedback to brand partners.
- Act as an on-camera spokesperson in Sephora-produced videos and lead teams or contractors in content creation while supporting the development of operational content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years of experience in retail operations, education, or brand management with a focus on optimization and change management.
- Proficient in linking product and category knowledge within a retail context and experienced in identifying content needs for diverse audiences.
- Fundamental category experience with the ability to assess the expertise level of others.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating impactful educational programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects, prioritizing integrity and accuracy.
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and project management tools.
- Proactive in building positive relationships and staying informed on industry trends and training practices in retail and beauty.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
