Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mechanical Tradesperson to join our maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various manufacturing machinery, including conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic units, and pumps.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics; familiarity with PLCs, control systems, and automated programming is advantageous.
  • Address routine breakdowns and repair challenges promptly.
  • Achieve high reliability in plant operations through regular and thorough maintenance of machinery.
  • Optimize production machine performance through effective setup and adjustments.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs to highlight performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with oxyacetylene cutting and burning is a valuable asset.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade certificate for Ontario (433A) or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of industrial experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with internal teams.
  • Experience in maintaining a busy production line or working with both mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities suited for a fast-paced work environment.
