Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro Mechanical CNC Specialist to join our team at Knoll North America Corp. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the repair, installation, and troubleshooting of Homag CNC machines, as well as other numerically controlled industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialized training in the repair, installation, and troubleshooting of Homag CNC machines, including BMG and Weeke models.
- Trained in 5-axis technology and proficient in WoodWop programming.
- Ability to evaluate, prepare, and execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshooting and repairing wood processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Resolving electrical problems logically and demonstrating machine flow.
- Working knowledge of PLC, VFD, CNC, and servo systems.
- Knowledge of LOTO protocol and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Plan, organize, and perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Assist production lines with changeovers and set-ups.
- Must own a full complement of proper tools to perform tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM manuals, and related technical data.
- Assess parts needed to repair equipment and create purchase requests.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take the initiative to solve problems.
- Must be willing to cross-train in various areas of the department as required.
- Follow all MillerKnoll safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate and maintain 5S in the workplace.
- Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work in a multi-shift environment, including flexible hours and weekends.
- Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of a three-year College Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Welding.
- Knowledge of PLC, VFD, CNC, and servo systems.
- Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written).
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of related experience.
- Machine shop experience.
- Working knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System is an asset.
