Position Overview:

We are in search of an Application Security Specialist who possesses a deep understanding of risk evaluation, vulnerability assessment techniques, and core information security principles. In this position, you will be responsible for facilitating security risk evaluations for both proprietary and third-party/open-source software, establishing security protocols, and training various application teams within the organization. Your contributions will be vital in documenting and formulating security measures while ensuring adherence to established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluating and documenting processes, policies, controls, and standards to align with security frameworks and regulations. Analyzing technical and architectural challenges from a security standpoint and offering recommendations. Conducting security assessments and providing insights throughout all stages of software development. Assisting the Application Security Manager in managing both internal and external stakeholders concerning Application Security. Coordinating secure code assessments with stakeholders, including Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Static Application Security Testing (SAST). Performing application vulnerability assessments for web, mobile, web services, and cloud applications. Overseeing manual and automated application Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing, and managing technical documentation related to VAPT/Application Security tracking and reporting. Reviewing configurations for Web Application Firewalls (WAF). Collaborating closely with application development teams to embed security controls within the development pipeline, ensuring an efficient development process with early security checkpoints. Supporting Security Leadership in partnering with IT Groups to define, develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive long-term application security strategy. This includes creating threat models for web applications and assisting development teams throughout the agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Aiding in the evaluation, selection, onboarding, and management of Application Security vendors and solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Strong understanding of application design and architecture. Expertise in manual and automated penetration testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Burp Suite, Fortify, Backtrack Kali, Metasploit Framework). Familiarity with programming languages (.Net, C#, JavaScript, etc.), cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), and database technologies in the security context. Knowledge of WAF technologies, security frameworks (OWASP-TOP 10, SANs-TOP 25, CWE), and experience in Bug Bounties & Capture the Flag (CTF) events is advantageous.

Essential Skills:

Exceptional verbal communication abilities. Strong written skills for report preparation and briefings. Excellent analytical and reasoning capabilities. A problem-solving mindset.

Educational Background:


• Post-secondary education, university degree, and relevant technical certifications are required.


• Certifications and Skills:

Preference will be given to candidates with CISSP certification. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is a plus.
