POSITION SUMMARY:

At Fastenal, we are seeking motivated and collaborative individuals to join our distribution center in a part-time capacity focused on receiving operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of products within our warehouse environment.

As inventory arrives, your responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy of deliveries and preparing items for subsequent processing. Fastenal is dedicated to fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, integrating health, safety, and sustainability into our daily operations.

This entry-level position is based out of our distribution center and may offer flexible scheduling options following a successful onboarding and training period.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary duties of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
o Utilizing computer systems, RF scanners, and printers for product labeling
o Unloading incoming shipments
o Conducting thorough inspections of orders to ensure shipment accuracy and addressing any discrepancies
o Assessing product quality and correctness
o Employing scales for weighing products
o Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
o Adhering to health, safety, and sustainability protocols
o Engaging in initiatives that support the company's health, safety, and sustainability goals
o Completing required environmental health and safety training

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Strong written and verbal communication abilities
o Proficient computer skills
o Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
o Ability to demonstrate strong mathematical skills and a sense of urgency
o Capacity to learn and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
o Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
o Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule as needed
o Commitment to the core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
o Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing between 25lbs-50lbs, with occasional weights up to 100lbs
o Successful completion of the required drug screening (applicable in specific regions)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous experience in forklift operation.
