About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and tools, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient software development.

This is a hybrid role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our development teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools to support their workflows.

Responsibilities
  1. Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and manage servers, networking equipment, and related components to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  2. Monitoring and Alerting: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues promptly.
  3. Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency.
  4. Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for securing hardware and network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and network-related incidents, working closely with software developers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members.
  7. Operational Maintenance: Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the existing infrastructure.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools to support their workflows.
  9. Research and Development: Research and recommend innovative solutions, automating key administration tasks where possible.
  10. Guidance and Mentorship: Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures, mentoring team members to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. 8+ years of experience working on DevOps technologies.
  3. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on hardware and network infrastructure.
  4. Expertise in Ansible, Shell scripting, database queries.
  5. Expert in PHP.
  6. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and load balancing.
  7. Familiarity with hardware components, server provisioning, and data center operations.
  8. Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and task orchestration.
  9. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Lxc, Docker, Kubernetes).
  10. Complete proficiency in Linux, especially on the CLI.
  11. Experience with tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.
  12. Solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure.
  13. The candidate is expected to have a strong knowledge of the CICD development process and experience with any well-known CI platforms like Jenkins, Bitbucket CI, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
  14. Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive success.
  15. Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing applications and infrastructure in the cloud.
  16. Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing containerized applications at scale.
  17. Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk to track system performance, detect issues, and maintain system health.
