Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Aide to join our Environmental Services team at Squamish Hospital in Squamish, BC. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and respectful working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning duties, including damp dusting, dry and wet mopping of floors, floor maintenance and refinishing, cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, and regular and biomedical waste collection and removal.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness of the facility according to organizational policies, procedures, and routines.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
