About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Anyar Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of mountainous terrain to navigate our trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional professionalism in customer service, ensuring timely and courteous interactions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Pay and Receive Payments: Manage payments for goods, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Perform Brake Adjustments: Perform regular brake adjustments to ensure the safety and efficiency of our trucks.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and Relay Information: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling procedures.
  • Transport and Handle Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Documentation Knowledge
  • Accident or Incident Reports: Understand the process for creating and submitting accident or incident reports.
  • Bill of Lading: Familiarize yourself with the bill of lading process and documentation.
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logbooks.
  • Inspection Report: Conduct and submit thorough inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
  • Trip Reports: Prepare and submit detailed trip reports.
Security and Safety
  • Driving Record Check: Understand the process for conducting driving record checks (abstracts).
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe operations.
  • Physically Demanding: Be physically capable of performing the demands of the role, including sitting for extended periods.
  • Sitting: Spend extended periods sitting while driving and performing other tasks.
