Job Summary:
The Prevention Services Youth Worker is a vital role within the Lac La Ronge Indian Child & Family Services Agency, responsible for providing support to youth at risk through recreational activities and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement evidence-based parenting programs to promote healthy family dynamics.
- Collaborate with community resources to establish services for youth, ensuring a comprehensive support network.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars on parenting and life skills, empowering youth and families to make informed decisions.
- Coordinate community-based activities, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among participants.
- Maintain accurate program records, ensuring data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Prevention Services Youth Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Recent and satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse, and Driver's Abstract Clearance.
