Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Game Developer to join our team at Mobile Hilfe Ruhr GmbH. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile games for various platforms, including iOS and Android.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Game Development: Design, develop, and implement mobile game applications from concept to launch, utilizing your technical skills and creativity to bring game concepts to life.
  • Technical Expertise: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java, depending on the platform, and ensure games are optimized for various mobile platforms and devices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and QA testers, to create engaging and immersive gaming experiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Debug and resolve platform-specific issues and performance bottlenecks, and optimize assets for memory and performance constraints.
  • Communication: Collaborate with game designers to understand and implement gameplay concepts and features, and work with artists and animators to integrate assets and maintain the visual style of the game.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate with quality assurance (QA) testers to identify and fix bugs and gameplay issues, and profile and optimize game performance, including frame rate, loading times, and memory usage.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java, and experience with game engines like Unity3D or Unreal Engine.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a passion for gaming and creativity in designing interactive experiences.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) Game Development: Experience with AR or VR game development, and knowledge of shader programming.
  • Multiplayer and Online Gaming: Familiarity with multiplayer and online gaming concepts, and previous experience with game monetization strategies, such as in-app purchases and advertisements.
Job Type and Experience:
  • Job Type: Full-time / Freelance / Part-time / Contract.
  • Experience: A minimum duration of 6 months is mandatory, and in case of no prior experience, you have the option to apply for an internship.
