Lineage Logistics is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and self-driven Pricing Strategy Analyst to become a part of our team. This role is pivotal in managing transportation cost analysis, pricing development, and maintenance. The Pricing Strategy Analyst will also provide comprehensive administrative support for customer quotations, pricing, and rating inquiries, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional and outstanding service while communicating with customers and internal stakeholders regarding all pricing inquiries.
  • Take a leadership role within the Pricing Department, collaborating effectively with team members to meet daily objectives.
  • Engage with existing and prospective small customers to offer rates and invoicing assistance, ensuring they have access to all necessary resources.
  • Identify and secure new small account transportation opportunities.
  • Support Business Development initiatives and participate in projects aimed at improving yield and driving revenue growth.
  • Assist with transportation invoice inquiries and collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve any disputes.
  • Oversee all pricing and rates administration, working closely with both external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update Lineage and customer-specific Fuel Surcharge (FSC) programs and all accessorial charges within our management systems.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of tariff and non-tariff rate structures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for rate sheets, accessorial charges, and FSC programs.
  • Coordinate the execution of the annual general rate increase process, updating rate agreements and communicating changes to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and rate agreements for scheduled increases and various pricing programs.
  • Keep the customer contacts database current and accurate.
  • Prepare spot rate quotes and verify shipment costs, responding to inquiries from both existing and new customers.
  • Monitor and address reports by providing administrative audits for various processes.
  • Serve as a liaison for costing and pricing inquiries across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to create competitive pricing proposals that maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Translate business opportunities and customer needs into effective pricing solutions.
  • Analyze RFP/RFQ bid opportunities for pricing development.
  • Utilize costing software to conduct thorough analyses of service requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines in all pricing analyses.
  • Complete all assigned pricing proposals accurately and in a timely manner, communicating with external customers and business development teams.
  • Conduct margin and pricing analyses to support business objectives.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external distribution as needed.
  • Track key performance indicators and pricing activities within the department.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Provide coverage for team members during absences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in costing, pricing, and/or rating within an LTL and/or TL environment is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or relevant certifications is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Office 365 with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with costing software and transportation management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and innovative with a proactive approach.
