- Build and manage a diverse portfolio of clients within the technology and innovation sector, enhancing Scotiabank's presence in the tech community.
- Drive business development initiatives to increase market share and revenue in the early and growth-stage technology segments.
- Serve as the Industry Specialist, providing expertise and support to regions lacking specialization in Technology and Innovation Banking.
- Conduct regular client engagement activities to ensure effective relationship management and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching and establishing comprehensive banking relationships with prospective clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Scotiabank's product offerings to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Monitor and manage the loan portfolio to mitigate risk and ensure profitability, conducting detailed credit analysis and reviews.
- Contribute to the productivity and service quality of the District Office by ensuring timely completion of reports and assisting in training new staff.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for working with entrepreneurs in the technology sector.
- Demonstrated teamwork, energy, and commitment to achieving results.
- In-depth knowledge of the Technology and Innovation industry, including key players and market dynamics.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, technology, or a related field; professional designations or an MBA are advantageous.
- Proficient in financial and risk analysis techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Work Environment:
This role is office-based with occasional travel required to engage with clients and stakeholders. The position demands flexibility to accommodate non-standard working hours and adapt to evolving business needs.
