About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team at Independent Building Materials Distribution Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to ensure efficient production.
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products to meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing to minimize waste.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to noisy, odorous, and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to train and learn is essential.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment will be provided.
Work Arrangements

The successful candidate will work 30 to 35 hours per week in a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
