Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Combination Bartender to join our team at the National Arts Centre. As a key member of our bar operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing bar operations, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including inventory management, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
  • Work collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure seamless service and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including cocktails, beers, and wines, and make recommendations to customers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma and completion of a bartending and mixology program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in bartending, with a strong background in mixology and customer service.
  • Smart Serve certification and knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a high-volume environment.
