Client Services Accountant

Are you aspiring to become a well-rounded CPA with promising career advancement in a reputable and rapidly expanding firm?
We are currently inviting applications for full-time articling roles to commence your CPA journey with our organization. This position is part of a pre-approved program.
About You
You possess a passion for accounting, drawn to this field not merely for the numerical aspects (though numbers are your forte), but for your enthusiasm in identifying and resolving challenges. You demonstrate empathy towards clients, managing their financial matters with diligence and care, ensuring that your recommendations prioritize their best interests. You understand that clients prefer discussing financial solutions in straightforward terms, reserving technical jargon for internal discussions.
Traveling is an integral part of your professional life. While you appreciate analyzing financial statements in a traditional office setting, you also relish the opportunity to visit client locations. Whether it’s a brief trip to a nearby office or an extended journey with colleagues to a remote area, you view each travel opportunity as a new adventure.
Qualifications You May Have
- Completion or nearing completion of an Accounting program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
- Previous co-op experience in accounting, particularly in public practice, is advantageous
- Familiarity with CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office, whether in an academic or professional context
Your Responsibilities at RHN
At RHN, our range of services and diverse client base allows team members to broaden their experiences and skill sets. Your responsibilities may include:
- Executing various assignments, such as T1 and T2 tax returns, Compilation, Review, and Audit engagements
- Meeting both internal and external deadlines while adhering to budgeted time
- Engaging in continuous professional development through firm-wide learning sessions and maintaining an open mindset towards ongoing improvement
- Embracing RHN's core values and leadership principles, guiding your interactions with colleagues and clients accordingly.
About RHN
Established in 1951, RHN has been delivering accounting services across British Columbia. Our main office is located in Richmond, with additional branches in Vancouver, Kelowna, and Osoyoos.
Our Core Values encompass Communication, Trust, Respect, and Service.
RHN confidently offers a comprehensive range of auditing, reviewing, consulting, and governance services, alongside specialized areas such as tax and controllership. We are committed to exceeding service expectations and providing exceptional support to our clients and staff, as we genuinely care about their needs.
What We Provide
- Competitive salary with generous vacation leave
- Paid personal days, including time off for your birthday
- Comprehensive extended health and dental benefits after a specified period
- RRSP matching contributions after a year
- Full reimbursement for tuition, exam, and student fees
- Paid time off for exam preparation
- Access to in-house CPA mentors
- Semi-flexible work schedules
- Opportunity to engage with a diverse client base
- A professional work environment that values integrity
- Salary Range: $53,000 - $58,000 annually
We look forward to your application.
