Job Title: Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at SOPREMA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Directly manage employees under supervision, including recruitment, performance monitoring, mentoring, and training oversight.
  2. Ensure the achievement of goals related to productivity, health, safety, environment, quality, raw material consumption, OEE, equipment maintenance, and production volumes.
  3. Plan production in manufacturing units to meet customer needs while maintaining optimal inventory.
  4. Contribute to the development of best practices within teams, ensure dissemination, and monitor implementation.
  5. Define and monitor the operational budget (labor, energy, consumables, etc.).
  6. Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) in each area of responsibility and communicate with the site director regarding team performance (positive and negative).
  7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within teams, participate in setting priorities, and disseminate information.
  8. Coordinate with the maintenance team to facilitate interventions and manage personnel during major interventions.
  9. Analyze variances and improvement opportunities to define and present action or improvement plans to the plant director.
  10. Collaborate with various departments in preparing, planning, executing, and monitoring R&D tests.
  11. Collaborate with different departments to support the implementation of industrial projects, whether minor or major.
  12. Participate in investment plans and justify requests.
  13. Ensure proper line maintenance (cleanliness).
  14. Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of operations.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. 5 years of manufacturing experience in a leadership position;
  2. Lean manufacturing knowledge (an asset);
  3. French (an asset);

Academic training in Operations Management (GOP) or other relevant areas (college or university);

Additional training in personnel management.

Working Conditions:
  1. 40 hours per week
  2. Flexible hours to provide support to all work teams when necessary;
  3. Available for after hour support/calls along with the on-call shift once every 5 weekends;
  4. Available for travel while the facility is being built and some occasional travel after;
  5. Profit-sharing participation;
  6. Employer-contributed pension fund;
