Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our team at Manulife Insurance Malaysia. As a key member of our Canadian Division Integrated Financial Solutions (CDIFS) team, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining efficient, cost-effective, and controlled systems solutions for Finance using Manulife's enterprise-wide tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to design and develop complex applications and tools.
  • Proactively identify new technical opportunities to streamline finance processes.
  • Provide strong technical and analytical support to Project Leads.
  • Support the business and systems requirements related to CDIFS.
  • Review Business Requirements, Systems Specifications, and Testing documents.
  • Research, review, and advise on technology tools/platforms for solution development.
  • Provide after-hours support when required.
Application Development
  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, test plans, and maintain documentation.
  • Develop, test, and deploy changes and enhancements to the applications.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to achieving process improvement goals.
  • Identify and analyze problems autonomously.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuously updating knowledge and skills.
Customer Service
  • Resolve customer service issues and build effective relationships.
  • Deliver tools and reports that align with customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and engage team members.
  • Extensive experience in Data Transformation Tools in ETL Capacity (SAS, SQL).
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, VBA, Power Query.
  • Experience with BI Reporting tools is an asset (Power BI).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.
