About the Team:

The Crisis Response Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a range of crisis services, including walk-in, mobile, and scheduled response. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care to individuals in crisis, with a focus on promoting recovery and reducing the risk of hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients in crisis, using standardized tools and assessments to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to manage their mental health and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Four years of related community experience, with a focus on mental health and crisis intervention.
  • BN or RPN required, with a strong understanding of crisis intervention theory and evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge of Crisis Intervention Theory and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
  • Suicide Assessment and Intervention Training, with a focus on risk assessment and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Active participation in professional associations, with a focus on mental health and crisis intervention.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle, with a willingness to travel to various locations.
