About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technology Professor to join our team at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. As a Contract Assistant Professor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality educational programs to our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned laboratory/practical/simulation sessions, including online course delivery
  • Mark and assess prepared work and examinations, providing feedback to students
  • Provide guidance and advisement to students, as required
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and demonstrate flexibility in improving methods to engage and support students
  • Challenge thought processes, foster collaboration, and develop critical and rational thinking skills in students
  • Participate in all aspects of course/program assessment, evaluation, and improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the Academic Chair to ensure delivery of the best educational experience

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Radiological Technology; Bachelor's degree considered an asset
  • 3-5 years' demonstrated clinical experience and currency in the field of Radiological Technology, including experience in CT, General Radiography, and Venipuncture
  • Registration in good standing with the CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario)
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Current membership with CAMRT (Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists) considered an asset
