Experience the Thrill of Mountain Transportation

As a Lift Operator at Vail Resorts, you'll be the key to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. You'll be responsible for the operation of our multi-million-dollar chairlifts, ensuring the smooth transportation of our guests and staff across our premier mountain terrain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the safety of passengers and provide instruction and customer service in the loading and unloading of lifts
  • Operate lifts to achieve optimal chair capacity and manage speed as needed
  • Notify maintenance and dispatch of repair or maintenance needs
  • Work closely with Lift Maintenance to learn proper operation of lift equipment
  • Implement emergency procedures as required, including contacting Patrol
Requirements:
  • No experience necessary, we train all lift operators
  • Ability to make quick decisions and use considerable judgment regarding safety
  • Physical ability to assist guests while loading lifts and stand outside in a mountain environment for long periods
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
