Job Summary

Aquatera Utilities Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to join our team in Jasper, Alberta. As a key member of our Treatment Operations department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Class IV Wastewater Treatment plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a Level IV BNR WWTP, including chemical top-up, mixing, and offloading
  • Perform facility operation and maintenance tasks related to process monitoring and optimization
  • Coordinate externally contracted maintenance as required
  • Conduct laboratory and field analysis
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports
  • Monitor and maintain all WWTP areas, including heavy equipment operation
  • Travel and overnight stays at remote worksites may be required
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
  • Self-motivated, organized, and safety-conscious individual
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team without direct supervision
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, biology, and computers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
  • Consistent modeling of Aquatera's Values and Principles
  • Prior education or experience in wastewater treatment is an asset
Qualifications
  • Prior education or experience in wastewater treatment is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 driver's license is an asset)
  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • Wastewater certification with AEPA is an asset
