Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Home Health Care Consultant to join our team at Lawtons. As a Home Health Care Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to customers on healthcare products and services, as well as promoting and selling our products to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, responding to their healthcare needs and concerns.
  • Sell and demonstrate durable medical equipment, personal care supplies, and other healthcare products to customers.
  • Conduct personal fittings of surgical appliances and compression stockings, ensuring accurate measurements and proper fit.
  • Identify sensitive customer needs and use discretion when providing service, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Support all company initiatives, programs, and standards, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Order products, receive product, and merchandise the Home Health Care Department, ensuring accurate inventory management and stock levels.
  • Process 3rd Party billing, pay invoices, and adhere to all applicable company standards.
  • Perform department administrative duties as required, maintaining accurate records and reports.

Requirements

  • Above-average communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Team player with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Soft medical operations and programs knowledge, with a strong understanding of healthcare products and services.
  • Relevant courses within the Home Health Care industry, previous retail experience, and experience in a retail home-health care setting, nursing, or pharmacy environment.
  • Experience with Sobeys/Lawtons POS (point of sale) system and Chainware experience.
