About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join our team at Bench. As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our company by collaborating with our Designers and Fit & Spec Technicians to produce high-quality CADs and Tech Packs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our Designers to create technical sketches and CAD presentations that meet our brand's high standards.
  • Collaborate with our Designers to create, execute, and maintain collection boards using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Work with our Fit & Spec Technicians and Designers to create Tech Packs that are clear, descriptive, and efficient.
  • Establish quality standards and inspect prototypes and finished products to ensure they meet our brand's standards.
  • Measure and analyze samples to ensure they meet our brand's quality standards.
  • Participate in fittings and provide feedback to our Designers and Fit & Spec Technicians.
  • Communicate with suppliers overseas to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma in Fashion Design (DEC or BAC).
  • Ability to work with women's, men's, children's, and unisex clothing across all product categories.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Excel.
  • Understanding of pattern grading and its rules.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
