About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Credit Manager** to join our Commercial & Private Wealth Management team at National Bank. As a key player in shaping the financial future of our clients, you will work closely with commercial account managers and internal/external partners to provide innovative financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough credit analyses and provide recommendations in accordance with Credit Centre standards.
  • Structure credit applications by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet client needs and align with the Bank's risk criteria.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers to determine client financing needs.
  • Negotiate credit terms and conditions with Credit Risk Management as needed.
  • Review and finalize credit applications with Account Managers and present them to the RVP for approval.
  • Produce documents and update client files to ensure efficient credit application processing.
  • Act as a resource person for your team in handling credit matters and assist in addressing team members' skills development.
  • Identify risks inherent to sector activities.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, OR a master's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to effectively collaborate with partners and form well-reasoned recommendations.
