YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Grocery Acquisition Specialist. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire food items from retail locations based on a provided weekly shopping list.
- Complete necessary documentation and submit it along with photographs of the food items within the designated timeframe.
- Store purchased goods appropriately until they are ready for shipment, ensuring the integrity of the food products (maintaining proper temperature and avoiding any damage).
- Prepare food items for shipment to testing facilities as directed, while preserving sample integrity.
- Identify and report any issues to the direct Supervisor.
- Access to a device (phone or camera) capable of delivering a minimum photo resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, as well as a computer, printer, and internet connection is required.
- Demonstrate safe driving skills and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Adhere to departmental Standard Operating Procedures at all times, which will be provided.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have reliable access to a vehicle and demonstrate safe driving abilities. Strong time management skills are essential to meet sampling deadlines. The ability to maintain the integrity of purchased items is crucial. A high school diploma or GED or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
Required Skills:
- Candidates will perform routine tasks following established shopping procedures (to be provided). Maintaining the integrity of purchased items is vital to avoid inaccurate results. Shopping locations may change with little notice. Candidates should utilize their knowledge of the local area and supervisor guidance to address challenges. Accurate and detailed reporting on collected samples, including product and shipment information, is necessary. Basic computer skills (data entry into spreadsheets, email, etc.) are required.
Work Environment:
- Candidates will use a personal vehicle for this role and will be subject to environmental conditions while traveling to various locations. Access to a device (phone or camera) with a minimum photo resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, as well as a computer, printer, and internet connection, is necessary. The role may require lifting sample loads of up to 50 pounds.
