Instrument Aide, Central Supply Specialist

Job Summary

As an Instrument Aide, Central Supply, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care at North York General Hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to reprocess medical/surgical instrumentation, pick cases for Operating Room procedures, and assemble inhalation equipment. This role requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize workload and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate technical equipment, such as autoclaves and cartwash, and manage supplies
  • Transport instrumentation and supplies, and return unused items to proper storage areas
  • Work safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Requirements

  • Community College certificate in Sterile Supply Processing
  • Endoscopy/Olympus certificate and experience an asset
  • Minimum three years of CSR Instrument Aide experience or equivalent
  • MDRD certification an asset
  • Fluent English language skills, with bilingualism in French/English an asset
