Position Summary:

As an Equipment Operator within our Production Team, your primary role will be to ensure the seamless operation of our machinery, enhancing overall efficiency. You will support daily activities by troubleshooting system faults—whether technical or operational—while identifying potential improvements and overseeing material flow through system reports and interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document product and equipment discrepancies in designated areas.
  • Efficiently resolve machine faults as they arise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to rectify equipment issues.
  • Prepare reports for damaged items and other general machinery concerns.
  • Acquire knowledge of system widgets for effective reporting.
  • Return all non-automated products and cases to their assigned locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness by regularly sweeping floors and removing dust from equipment and panels.
  • Monitor system performance and operational conditions.
  • Report recurring faults to management.
  • Operate and maneuver system equipment as directed by system messages.
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding system performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols related to assigned tasks, ensuring a clean and secure work environment while actively participating in health and safety initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical education is advantageous.
  • Entry-level electromechanics training is beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 20 meters after receiving appropriate training, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from +5C to -25C, equipped with necessary PPE.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to travel for training purposes if necessary.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong mechanical and technical skills.
  • Practical mindset with a willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Proficient in PC operations within a Windows environment.
  • Capability to work at heights exceeding 20 meters.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel for training if required.
  • Entry-level electromechanics training is a plus.
