Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Leak Seal Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. This hourly position may require travel to various locations. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience in leak repair, be mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Seal leaks and repair piping systems and vessels
- Corrosion protection repair
- Line freeze
- Hot tap
- Control bolt
- Test and pipe isolations
- Cold cutting
- Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor-intensive capacity
- Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment
- Leave the job site in better condition than when arrived
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
Requirements
- Sr. Leak Seal Technician status (4+ experience with leak sealing) required
- Class 5 license with clean driver's abstract
- Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Personal Qualities
- Safety-focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with small and pneumatic tools
- Flexible schedule and able to work day or night shifts, some travel required
