Position Summary
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for shaping student life and hospitality experiences? The University of Regina seeks an experienced and dedicated Associate Director, Housing & Hospitality Services to lead our comprehensive housing and event operations.
Reporting directly to the Director, Student Affairs Housing & Hospitality, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, financial management, and day-to-day operations of all aspects of Housing & Hospitality Services. This includes:
- Housing Services: Overseeing occupancy and admissions processes, managing campus room assignments, and ensuring a positive living environment for our students.
- Hospitality Services: Planning and executing events, managing short-stay accommodations, and providing exceptional customer service to guests on campus.
- Residence Life: Developing and implementing policies, fostering a sense of community, and providing support and programming for residents.
This position plays a vital role in attracting and retaining students, enhancing the overall campus experience, and contributing to the University's mission.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain efficient processes for housing applications, room assignments, and campus space management.
- Manage occupancy and admissions within all university residential spaces, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders regarding housing policies, community expectations, and event information.
- Lead and supervise a team of APT and CUPE staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and oversee marketing plans to promote residency options and events, contributing to student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Manage the financial aspects of Housing & Hospitality Services, ensuring responsible budgeting and expense control.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for students and guests on campus.
We are seeking an individual with:
- A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing housing and/or hospitality operations within a university or similar setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive community environment.
