We are looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineering Manager with extensive leadership experience. The successful candidate will have a robust technical background in fire safety engineering, outstanding project oversight capabilities, and the ambition to manage an office effectively. This role is pivotal in steering the growth and success of our fire protection engineering division, promoting innovation, and ensuring top-tier client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide a team of fire protection engineers and technical personnel, offering mentorship and support to encourage professional advancement.
- Serve as the main liaison for clients, nurturing and sustaining strong partnerships, understanding their requirements, and providing creative solutions to fulfill their goals.
- Lead business development initiatives, pinpointing growth opportunities, crafting strategic plans, and fostering new client connections.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to synchronize objectives and priorities, support cross-departmental projects, and promote ongoing enhancement.
- Engage actively in office administration, managing daily operations, resource distribution, and budget oversight to ensure smooth office performance.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence, empowering team members to thrive and reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or equivalent technical certification.
- At least 15 years of experience in fire protection engineering, demonstrating a strong history of successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Proven leadership and management abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams, achieving results, and cultivating a culture of excellence.
- Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong client relationship management capabilities, with the ability to identify business opportunities and drive growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the capacity to formulate and execute plans to meet business objectives and enhance the firm's competitive edge.
- Solid grasp of financial principles, budget management, and resource planning.
- Aptitude and willingness to manage an office, including overseeing daily operations and business development efforts.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
The salary range for this position is between $180,000 and $220,000 CAD, contingent on experience and qualifications. The compensation package includes performance bonuses and relocation assistance if required.
