We are seeking a highly proficient and committed Senior Network Security Engineer with expertise in SecOps. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of practical experience in the design, deployment, operation, management, and troubleshooting of Palo Alto Networks (PAN) firewalls. Proficiency in crafting and implementing network security frameworks, along with comprehensive knowledge of orchestration tools such as AlgoSec, is crucial. This position is essential in upholding enterprise cyber policies and controls within our network framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design the network security services framework in accordance with the Enterprise network and security strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Network Architect to ensure network security services are tailored to meet organizational requirements.
  • Lead network security infrastructure initiatives, ensuring successful completion with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls. Conduct regular updates, patches, and upgrades to keep firewalls equipped with the latest security enhancements.
  • Monitor firewall performance and health, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise, while optimizing performance through regular tuning and configuration adjustments.
  • Conduct routine reviews and audits of firewall configurations and policies to ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.
  • Utilize AlgoSec to automate and orchestrate firewall rule modifications, ensuring consistency and minimizing manual effort.
  • Integrate AlgoSec with existing security tools and workflows to enhance the management of firewall policies.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to address security incidents and vulnerabilities, focusing on any flows and threats through the firewall.
  • Provide 24/7 firewall monitoring, alert management, and support to swiftly respond to and mitigate security incidents.
  • Lead initiatives in threat detection, investigation, and response to security incidents.
  • Employ advanced cybersecurity tools and techniques for incident response and management.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
  • Keep detailed records of all changes, incidents, and resolutions for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Ensure firewall configurations and policies align with industry regulations and standards.
  • Generate and maintain compliance reports to support audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review and assess firewall configurations and policies against industry best practices, recommending and implementing enhancements to improve security and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • 5 years of experience managing and automating firewalls through AlgoSec.
  • 2 years of experience managing network infrastructure in Azure or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications, such as:
    • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
    • AlgoSec Certified Security Expert (ACSE)
    • Azure Network Engineer Associate
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
