Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Acute Care inpatient team. As a Physiotherapy Specialist, you will be responsible for patient assessment and the development and execution of treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized treatment plans to promote optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
- Develop and deliver education programs to patients and healthcare staff.
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment to patients with multiple physical impairments and chronic diseases.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care.
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care inpatient rehabilitation.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver education programs.
- Experience working with geriatric patients and patients with multiple physical impairments.
- Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and case management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current CPR certification.
- Satisfactory performance record.

The Physiotherapy Specialist will work in a fast-paced acute care environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and travel between Lakeridge Health campuses as needed.
