Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

At Vancouver Airport Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our Baggage Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SCADA/PLC systems to ensure seamless baggage handling operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Lead technical decisions and projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve system availability.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with SCADA systems, with a focus on design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Expert knowledge of technologies underlying SCADA/PLC systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
