Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead the development of our data foundation and drive strategic insights for our Canadian Banking Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement automated data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making.
  2. Collaborate with business intelligence and workforce analytics teams to accelerate speed to strategic decision-making.
  3. Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
  4. Ensure sound governance and controls are in place for all data pipelines.
Requirements

Must-have:

  1. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Demonstrated capability of leveraging SQL and Python to solve data problems.
  3. Knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  5. Strong expertise in data engineering principles, practices, and tools.

Nice-to-have:

  1. BSc. or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  2. Experience automating routine reporting work.
  3. Experience within Canadian Banking Operations.
