Lantic Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Analyst, Risk and Internal Control Analyst to join its Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's internal control efforts and ensuring compliance with controls. Key responsibilities include:

  • Documenting and maintaining controls
  • Evaluating and improving the control framework
  • Ensuring internal control process and documentation is up to date
  • Performing tests on key controls quarterly and annually
  • Reviewing user access rights to the ERP system, Business Central, on a monthly basis
  • Identifying risks related to access controls and providing recommendations to ensure the separation of incompatible functions
  • Identifying compensatory controls when necessary
  • Making recommendations and following up on identified control gaps
  • Preparing documentation on the results of key control tests
  • Supporting the Director of Corporate Finance in preparing certain quarterly financial reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:

  • Strong comprehension of internal audit standards, the COSO framework, risk management practices, and accounting and financial reporting concepts and principles
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and a recognized accounting designation
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Resourceful and able to learn quickly
  • Dynamic and motivated with a strong sense of ethics
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Bilingual in both spoken and written communication
