Position Overview
In the role of ITR EI&C Project Engineer, you will report directly to the ITR Fulfilment Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the ITR team in executing projects and orders, with a strong emphasis on Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Controls, and Programming. This position is highly technical; you will be tasked with reviewing, modifying, or approving PLC programming, controls documentation, electrical schematics, process and instrumentation diagrams, and design specifications. You will deliver EI&C designs for various treatment applications, including drinking water, wastewater, purification & disinfection, reverse osmosis, ultrapure water, and boiler feed water.
Additionally, you will provide both customers and internal teams with EI&C support, optimizing designs to enhance productivity within the ITR organization. As an EI&C Project Engineer, you will lead instrumentation and controls meetings and implement necessary changes to plant process controls, either remotely or on-site. You will act as the technical liaison for customers, participating in project status updates and design reviews alongside project managers and regional lifecycle managers.
The EI&C Project Engineer will collaborate with the ITR Proposal Development team to enhance the customer experience by leveraging technical expertise in PLC Programming, controls documentation & design, electrical schematics, and process instrumentation to devise innovative solutions for clients. You will also assist in sourcing equipment, reviewing specifications, and ensuring precise design.
Key Qualifications
- Ability to collaborate effectively and lead discussions within cross-functional project teams and client meetings.
- Demonstrated capability to develop and adhere to procedures and standards while extrapolating new concepts from established guidelines.
- Knowledge of and/or a proven ability to learn about equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS products and systems.
- Interest in PLC Programming and plant control strategy as a core responsibility.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer) or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with ZeeWeed or comparable water treatment technologies.
Desirable Skills:
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Exceptional communication skills, including analytical, written, and verbal communication, facilitation, presentation, and documentation.
- Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles.
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Ability to swiftly shift focus between different problems while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Competence in managing evolving demands with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Familiarity with ZeeWeed membrane processes and operations is considered a significant asset.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while effectively communicating in a team environment.
- Understanding of drinking and wastewater processes and chemistry is advantageous.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Experience in Electrical or Instrumentation and Controls is beneficial.
- Commissioning experience is a plus.
- Strong background in PLC programming is highly valued.
- Onsite experience with ZeeWeed systems is an asset.
