Role Overview
As an Operations Supervisor, you will assist the General Manager in ensuring that all daily operational tasks are executed efficiently while upholding a standard of excellence through strong leadership and exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in maximizing sales by developing and overseeing the performance of sales associates.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Ensure customers receive prompt greetings and service from knowledgeable associates.
- Manage customer flow effectively to enhance service delivery.
Team Leadership
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure team members arrive on time and are in proper uniform.
- Communicate daily sales targets to all Sales Associates.
- Maintain professionalism in all communications, including phone interactions.
- Monitor attendance and punctuality of team members.
- Assign daily responsibilities to Sales Associates to maintain productivity.
- Keep the team informed of procedural updates and changes.
- Encourage upselling and add-on sales with every customer interaction.
- Oversee store opening, closing, and shift change protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory checks on high-value items and report discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and ensure proper stock management.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards throughout the store.
- Remain vigilant against theft and enforce internal policies to minimize loss.
- Report daily sales figures to management.
- Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and documentation.
- Manage supply orders efficiently.
- Assist with cash register operations during busy periods.
- Be flexible with work hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Financial Management
- Oversee cash register operations, including preparation and reconciliation.
- Ensure the security of cash at all times, removing excess cash from registers.
- Accurately process daily deposits and financial reports.
- Conduct audits of cash transactions and prepare reports for management.
- Manage supply orders for the cash office.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
- Background check required prior to employment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
Experience with SAP is preferred.
