Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Canada Kingsway Animal Hospital in Hamilton, ON. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality services.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgical preparation and patient recovery
- Conduct physical examinations, patient assessments, and take vital signs
- Prepare and administer medications, as well as perform venipuncture and radiology procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and problem-solve as needed
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and pet parents to ensure seamless care

Requirements
- Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
- Registration with the Ontario Veterinary Technician Association (OVTA)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
