HOURLY COMPENSATION RANGE: $32.00 to $40.00 (Hourly rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market alignment.) Your responsibilities:

Inspectors are tasked with performing routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines, as well as similar products from competing manufacturers.

Your approach:
  1. Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
  2. Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices such as laptops and/or hard copies.
  3. Adhere to and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
  4. Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents using a laptop.
  5. Conduct minor repairs with minimal supervision.
  6. Complete assigned inspections punctually.
  7. Perform additional duties as required.
Ideal candidate profile:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. 5+ years of documented experience in Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
  3. ASTTBC Certification in: Fire Alarm Systems (AL), Unit Emergency Lighting (EM), Portable Fire Extinguishers (EM), Water-Based Systems (WA).
  4. Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean driving record.
  5. Limited travel to customer sites may be necessary.
  6. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  7. Proficient with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  8. Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  9. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  10. Proficient in using PCs, including working knowledge of MS Excel/Word and mobile applications.
  11. Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.
  12. Able to work in unusual and sometimes challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  13. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  14. Exhibit a high level of customer service.
  15. Self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.
  16. Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
  17. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
  18. Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards.
