About the Role

As a full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you will play a vital role in developing and executing the merchandising strategy for the store. You will excel in training your team to uphold AEO brand Visual standards and ensure flawless floorset execution. Your leadership will focus on maintaining merchandising and marketing brand standards, as well as ensuring effective replenishment to keep the store 'guest ready'. Above all, you will embody our company values and bring authenticity to the workplace every day.

Your Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: You will lead by example in maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity to enhance guest loyalty and drive sales. By analyzing reports and daily trends, you will contribute to the store's financial success through strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Store Team Leader to develop business plans that drive key performance indicators.
  • Merchandising Excellence: You will inspire your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring the store reflects AEO Brand Standards. From day-to-day merchandising to sell-through adjustments, you will lead by example in maintaining an excellent store appearance and always stay prepared to seize merchandising opportunities.
  • People Leadership: Your focus will be on motivating and guiding your team according to AEO's core values. As a role model, you will set high standards for customer service on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room, holding your team accountable to deliver excellence.
  • Talent Development and Training: Recruiting top talent and providing ongoing training are key priorities for you to ensure the team meets business requirements. You will take pride in developing your team to deliver exceptional service consistently.
  • Team Collaboration and Feedback: Building a successful team requires continuous performance feedback and coaching, alongside developing individual growth plans and conducting regular performance reviews. By recognizing outstanding performance, you will foster associate engagement and create a winning team culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Your knack for executing daily operational tasks is unmatched. You will support the team in maintaining visual standards across all store areas, with a special focus on ensuring the Fitting Rooms adhere to AEO Brand Standards and are always ready to welcome guests.
  • Integrity and Accountability: Upholding store safety and Asset Protection standards is second nature to you. Your commitment to adhering to company policies and procedures ensures a culture of trust and accountability within the team.
Requirements
  • You have a genuine passion for AE and Aerie products
  • You possess previous experience leading teams in a retail management capacity
