Nestled in amongst some of the most magnificent scenery Alberta has to offer, Elk Point is the right place to be Elk Point is located in the County of St Paul, in east-central Alberta, with a population of approximately 1,500. We offer an arena, a public library, a fitness centre, the Elk Point Water Spray Park, excellent housing opportunities, schools, and a day care facility. Elk Point has a full range of services including two grocery stores, several convenience stores, pharmacies, a bakery, clothing and variety stores, and many restaurants. As a Health Care Aide, you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team, working at or out of our Home Care department, serving our community, country, and lodge clients, as well as other departments in our facility. You will be providing client care services within the client’s home, under the supervision of a regulated healthcare professional.
Description:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
