We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at 911 Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create precise and durable structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of buildings.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the finishing touches on construction projects.
- Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects and meet client expectations.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in various industries, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in carpentry or a related trade.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to handle heavy loads, work long hours, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Valid safety certifications and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions.
- Work with a team of skilled tradespeople to achieve project goals.
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and equipment.
