Job Summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Contracts department, you will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day management of contracts in accordance with Company Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Assist Contracts Staff: Oversee the performance of contracts staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure successful contract execution.
  • Coordinate and Review Proposals: Collaborate with engineering, estimating, program management, operations, and executive teams to develop and review formal proposals and pricing.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Develop and negotiate contracts with domestic and export customers, ensuring effective contract introduction, administration, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Manage Customer Enquiries: Respond to customer enquiries, including familiarity with Canadian and U.S. government regulations.
  • Coordinate Financial Papers: Negotiate and coordinate financial papers associated with contracts, such as Letters of Credit, Performance Bonds, and Banker's Guarantee.
  • Contribute to Corporate Profitability: Ensure that proposals meet financial requirements and that agreed-upon terms and conditions protect the company in all eventualities.
  • Annual/Monthly Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage annual and monthly sales forecasts, strategic planning, and performance to budget.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with all departments to ensure effective collaboration and contract execution.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Commerce degree, Business Administration diploma from a recognized university or college, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of business or management experience, with contracts administration experience considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Canadian government or standard industry terms and conditions, understanding of Commercial Law as it relates to terms and conditions, familiarity with Canadian and U.S. government regulations, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong planning and organizational skills.
