Position Overview

SANTAN ESTATES (NIAGARA) INC is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Agricultural Harvesting Specialist. This position involves a variety of tasks essential for the effective management of our agricultural operations.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize fertilizers to enhance crop growth.
  • Employ hoeing techniques between rows for effective cultivation.
  • Remove debris such as wood and stones from fields.
  • Perform cutting of agricultural crops.
  • Engage in hand harvesting of vegetables.
  • Harvest seedlings as necessary.
  • Pack harvested fruits and vegetables for distribution.
  • Sort fruits and vegetables to ensure quality standards.
  • Document daily progress through basic reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
  • Execute the harvesting of crops efficiently.
  • Handle loading, unloading, and transferring of crates, supplies, and produce.
  • Inspect products for quality and market readiness.
Experience Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Employment duration is permanent.
  • Work language is English.
  • Work hours are set at 30 hours per week.
