About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Conference and Meeting Services
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our conference and meeting services to potential clients.
  • Assist in Budget Preparation
    • Work closely with the finance team to prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and within budget.
  • Coordinate Conference and Meeting Activities
    • Oversee the planning and execution of conferences and meetings, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and other logistical arrangements.
  • Coordinate Media Services
    • Arrange for audio-visual equipment, microphones, and other media services as needed for conferences and meetings.
  • Coordinate Set-ups, Staging, Seating, Parking, Communication Systems, and Other Details
    • Ensure that all event spaces are set up and ready for events, including staging, seating, parking, and communication systems.
  • Confirm and Coordinate Speakers
    • Work with speakers to confirm their availability and provide them with necessary information and materials.
  • Implement Registration Systems
    • Develop and implement registration systems for conferences and meetings, including online registration and payment processing.
  • Implement Social Programs, Food and Beverage, Transportation, and Other Services
    • Coordinate social programs, food and beverage services, transportation, and other services for conferences and meetings.
  • Plan and Arrange for Accommodation and Transportation Services
    • Arrange for accommodation and transportation services for guests and speakers as needed.
  • Plan Schedules, Goals, and Objectives
    • Develop and implement schedules, goals, and objectives for conferences and meetings.
  • Plan for Required Documentation and for Pre- and Post-Distribution of Documentation
    • Ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and distributed to guests and speakers before and after events.
  • Plan for VIP Arrangements
    • Coordinate VIP arrangements, including special seating, catering, and other services as needed.
  • Plan for Social Events and Guest Programs
    • Develop and implement social events and guest programs for conferences and meetings.
  • Manage Event Logistics
    • Oversee the planning and execution of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and other logistical arrangements.
  • Supervise Staff
    • Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including event planning, coordination, and execution.
