Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular workplace audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills on health and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Canadian Health and Safety designation (CRSP/T, CSO, NCSO, etc.) is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of full-time experience in Health and Safety in a large multi-faceted operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation skills of OHS & WCB legislation.
  • Experience working in/developing Health and Safety Management systems (OHS18001, ISO 45000, QMS).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as a member of a dynamic team.
